A general term given to any technology that’s production is lost or that comes from before the Dark Age of Technology. Some examples of Archeotech range from the hereditary Power Sword of the Empress to The Floating Vagabond, to Web Gates Archeotech can be very dangerous and it is often difficult to tell of its full potential, any piece should be handled with extreme care.

Virtually everything runs off of either a crystal battery or highly inefficient combustion engines, the electrical output of a level ten battery will supply a small city with power for nearly a week. Crystals are held in high value and often are used as money when trading between races.

A planet destroyed during the war by nuke or virus they now are a barren unlivable hell.

HEL gun

High Energy Lance gun, common throughout the galaxy, this is a standard issue weapon for most armies and appears in a myriad of forms and capacities.

HEL guns uses many different methods of delivery but all fire the same sort of small superconductive rod called a dart or Lance, (not to be confused with the psionic attack.) the rod fires from the gun in a heightened energetic state and “Grounds out” when it strikes a target. This effect is quite spectacular and vaporizes the area struck with a loud pop or hiss.

The negate shield once was a piece of archeotech that during the galactic war was rediscovered and has become very common throughout the galaxy. It when active produces a blanket effect for several hundred square miles that stops all nuclear reaction, this virtually ended nuclear warfare during the galactic war. In the early days of the Galactic war it was common to simply roll a nuke into a city through a gateway and level the entire city, coincidentally this is the reason for many dead worlds.

Legend says that the first Emperor of man Jerich Al’Eld defeated the machines and sent them into the void, there by heralding the end of the Dark Age and ushering in the Golden Age of Thought.
