Don’t Go to Atlantis
Atlantis

People of Middian, Consider this a serious travel advisory. Don’t go to Atlantis. There is fighting going on here, and sometimes it’s hard to tell if you’re being attacked by King’s men, Memno-whatevers, Magistra Techno, Swordbrothers, Tide Guard, Forest Guard. But whoever it is, they think you are seriously someone else. I brought a little something there, well, maybe it wasn’t technically legal, but it’s just a good time. Just a little run from Downings, and those Ex-whore guys pay well. Guess that’s done, because everyone hates the Ex-whores. Well anyway, people just kept wanting to swing swords at each other. And then one side “taxed” our goods, and then another. Pretty soon, it was all gone, and that was my money. Anyway, don’t go to Atlantis. They’re all crazy over here. I just found this little comm station, it just started working. So people, don’t come here. Unless you’re coming to save old Mondy, in which case, totally come here.

Swordbrethren
Memnon

Children of Memnon, Swordbrethren, loyal citizens of Atlantis, It is with great sorrow that I report that King Lysandros VI and many of the members of the High Senate have been deceived by foreign agents. In their folly, they have attempted to seize the leadership of the Memnonides, and we have been forced to resist. We call upon all loyal citizens of Atlantis to join us in Hespera, or with our allies in Aigle, Pyrrha, and Deucalion so that we may root out this deception as quickly as possible. Citizens that are currently traveling outside of Atlantis should avoid making use of the Arc Terminus or travel through Cerne. They should instead travel to the Memnonides chapterhouse in the Qua’ri cavern of Downings and alternate travel methods will be arranged. Archon in Exile Nileas of Memnon

Fomorians Withdraw from Atlantis
Atlantis

Seemingly overnight, the fortifications that the Fomorians constructed in Atlantis have been abandoned. Most of the Formorians left over two or three days, traveling back to Fomoria. Defense forces dogged their way, and a good number will never raid again. Those that remained at the fortress were quickly overwhelmed by the superior Atlantean forces that had been gathering to deal with the invaders. No reason was given, but the Atlanteans are celebrating their victory regardless. There has not been such a significant action from Formoria in decades, and scholars hope that they will return to their continent, and resume killing each other for decades to come. In other news, both the Memnonides and Magistera Techna have continued marshaling their forces. Perhaps there is another invasion imminent, but no additional information has been released.

Formorian Threat Continues
Atlantis

There have been reports of a great deal of activity around the Fortress that the Formorians have constructed in the principality of Crannog. Thousands of them are said to be gathered there, under a warchief. Reports of raiding, murder, and other nefarious activities have come from the area. Atlantean forces are currently observing the fortress, but military forces are being marshaled to deal with it, once and for all.

Invasion of Atlantis
Atlantis

There have been numerous reports of fighting near the recently reclaimed city of Crannog. The attackers are said to be the Formori, the monstrous people that dwell on the continent Formoria. Formoria, for those without modern maps, is to the north and northwest of Atlantis. Formoria is also located close to the east of the continent of Mu, where there are four major Origo settlements. Morgan’s Landing, Omanganva, Elder’s Grove, and to a lesser extent The Library, are all located within striking distance of Formoria. Hyperborea is the continent with Gatetown, The Compound, White Falls, and Downings. It’s position on almost the other side of the world means that they will be less threatened by these savages. Unless they have learned how to travel through gates, that is. The Formori are said to be a hideous people, who show little mercy on raids, and are known to consume their enemies. Reports are that they have landed in strength on the shore of Atlantis, and are building some kind of fortress. The Formori are known to frequently raid other peoples, but usually they are fairly small. They burn out any homes they can find, and steal everything they can carry away. This behavior is said to be unusual for them. We will report more as information comes in. In other news, the Swordbrethren have reportedly accepted their first non-human student. Art Wormwood, a Yazata child from Elder’s Grove, is reported to have recently begun to exhibit psionic ability, and the signs point towards Mag Moytura. […]

New Settlement Petitions Atlantis
Atlantis

The existence of a new settlement on the continent of Mu, named Omanganva, was announced today. It is primarily made up of Nasu, with some Meurlain, Free Szgany, and a growing number of Atlantean citizens. They are located on the coast, some days travel from Morgan’s Landing. Although the exact location is not being published, the Sea Briar Szgany have let it be known that they will be traveling there regularly, and will bring peaceful visitors with them. They will also handle trading for the settlement, which could start to compete with White Falls for the pharmaceutical market. The Nasu have also announced that they are petitioning to be named as a protectorate of Atlantis. This is unprecedented in recent Atlantean history, and yet another first on a planet of new things. The Atlanteans have made no official comment about the petition, although there is said to be great interest in the motion. The recent attack on the King of Atlantis was foiled, and the King is healthy and unharmed. The life of his advisor was saved by the quick-thinking actions of nearby Nasu, one of them a resident of the new settlement. The Memnonides, some of the protectors of Atlantis, have announced that they are offering aid and protection to the new settlement. Some have already traveled there, and will protect the settlement against High Asgardians and outside threats, at least until the issue of the petition has been decided. Well I say welcome to Eclipse, Omanganva. This is […]

Lost City Found
Atlantis

After decades of being lost to the High Jungles of Atlantis, Uxmal is being reclaimed once more. Teams of Uxmal residents have been trying for the past year to locate the swath of High Jungle belonging to this Principality, but all expeditions had been falling short of their prize. That is, until now. Newly acknowledged Archon of Uxmal, Andronikos of Uxmal and Memnon is the only son of the last recorded Archon of Uxmal, Helene of Uxmal. Helene was one of the most celebrated Archons of the Principality, known as a great philanthropist and caretaker to her people. She made great strides in the years she led Uxmal, contributing brilliantly to the needs of the Principality, particularly in the fields of harmonious architecture and engineering; a much needed component to the survival of the High Jungle’s accelerated growth and aggressive wildlife. Archon Andronikos led each of the expeditions to reclaim the Principality himself, citing that the victory in the War of the Machines here in Atlantis was one of the primary reasons he realized it was time to rebuild. “Our people have endured much sorrow in the history of our great Principality, but we have also seen great triumphs this past year. I wish for no more than to give them back the legacy of their heritage as they have given me in naming me Archon this day by the blessing of our beloved king.” Uxmal has risen and fallen three times in the recorded history of Atlantis. It is […]
